To mark her work anniversary, at the start of the company’s new financial year, and to take the business to the next level, Anna Topham, the granddaughter of founder John has stepped into a senior leadership role of Operations Director to spearhead and continue to hard work of her father Howard, who has served the business since 1977 and remains a proud voice in the business today.

Reflecting, Howard commented “Anna is the perfect person to lead us into the future, she has been around the business since being a small child, and after joining the business full time over a decade ago she has supported across every department we have. Her contribution to our product development, the energy provided to our sales engine and support for everyone across our teams is unmatched. We’ve been blessed to trade with some of the biggest retailers and distributors in Europe and have a healthy, and enviable pipeline. This appointment will come as little surprise to our suppliers, peers and competitors in the industry and we’re excited to do what we’ve always done, and surprise a few! To be able to spend more time with the grandchildren and explore several other interests going forward is a personal gift to me too.”

In her opening address to the business Anna stated “I am honoured to be stepping into this role. The last 5 years or so have taught us all more than we realise. Our business is built on hard work, and we couldn’t have done any of it without a significant contribution from each and every one of our employees over the past 6 decades, past, present and future. I extend my thanks to everyone that has worked alongside us. In preparation for this change, we’ve already received global industry recognition thanks to our promise to celebrate the stories of hard-working people. We’re proud to shape the future of the workwear and footwear by manufacturing unique ranges under our JCB Workwear, WORKTOUGH and Contractor brands. Thanks to our significant stockholding, team led operational effectiveness and digital first, sustainable sales and marketing strategy. The JCB brand is renowned in the UK and across the world, I am excited to see how far the team can push our new and exciting developments in the coming months. I can promise you are going to be hearing a lot more from Progressive Safety going forwards.”

The company has ambitious growth objectives and is currently offering exceptional discounts within their retail store as well as weekly offers to its national distributors to support them and shield from never-before-seen supply chain increases in materials and labour. These offers will enable the business to launch the next generation of developments.
